Acorn 130 T700 Stairlifts Liverpool — From £1,300 Fitted
Acorn 130 T700 · Brooks 130 T700 · Our Current Standard Fit · Straight Staircases Only
A.C. Stairlifts is the Merseyside independent that specialises in the Acorn 130 T700 straight stairlift — the current-generation version of the UK’s most-fitted lift. Fully reconditioned in our Bootle workshop, fitted by Chris personally, from £1,300 all-in with an 18-month warranty. We fit the T700 under both the Acorn and Brooks badges (same manufacturer group, same lift), and buy them back for £250 when you no longer need them. The older classic Acorn 130 is still available on request — but the T700 is what we currently stock and install day-to-day. For curved staircases we fit the Stannah 260, not the Acorn 180.
Our Flagship Model
The Acorn / Brooks 130 T700 — From £1,300 Fitted
The T700 is the current-generation refresh of the UK’s most-fitted stairlift — and what we now install day-to-day. Smoother start and stop, refined paddle controls, updated seat. Sold under both the Acorn and Brooks brands (same manufacturer group, same lift under the badge). Slimline profile, fold-flat seat, arms and footrest — the whole unit tucks against the wall so the staircase stays usable for everyone else. Tread-fixed rail means no wall damage, no plaster work, nothing to redecorate. Every unit we sell goes through our four-stage Bootle workshop process — strip-down, worn parts replaced, brand-new batteries, full rig test — before it ever comes near your house.

The T700 is the current-generation refresh of the classic 130 — same rail, same fundamental design, same paddle-style arm controls, same fold-flat seat mechanism. The T700 is what we currently stock and install because it is the version in current UK production, and it carries an 18-month warranty from us instead of the standard 12. Both are straight-staircase only. The Brooks 130 T700 is the same lift under the Brooks brand (same manufacturer group post-acquisition).
We pay £250 for a working Acorn or Brooks 130 T700, and £200 for the older classic Acorn 130 — both collected free from anywhere on Merseyside. That is why we can sell a fully reconditioned T700 for £1,300 in the first place: your old lift becomes someone else’s next reconditioned lift.
The Circular Economics That Keep Our Prices Down
Why Acorn
Six Reasons the T700 Is Our Current Standard Fit
The T700 is the current version of the UK’s most-installed straight stairlift — still under active manufacture, still fully supported for parts, and the version Chris now fits day-to-day.
Bootle terraces, Anfield semis, Wirral 1930s houses — the T700’s narrow rail and fold-flat seat make it the natural fit for the staircases most Merseyside homes actually have.
We back the T700 with an 18-month parts and labour warranty — six months longer than the industry-standard 12. That is our confidence in the current-generation build.
Runs entirely on batteries with a trickle charger at each end. Cuts through a power cut without hesitation.
Tread-fixed rail. No plaster damage, no structural work, nothing to make good afterwards. Comes off just as cleanly when we buy it back.
We know these lifts intimately. Every one we sell has been stripped, inspected, worn parts swapped, batteries replaced and full-length rig-tested in Bootle before it goes anywhere.

Acorn Stairlifts — FAQs
How much is a reconditioned Acorn 130 T700?
A fully reconditioned Acorn or Brooks 130 T700 fitted from £1,300 all-in — that includes the strip-down and refurbishment in our Bootle workshop, brand-new batteries, cutting the rail to your staircase, fitting, safety testing, demonstration and an 18-month parts and labour warranty. The older classic Acorn 130 is still available at £1,100 if you specifically want one, but the T700 is what we currently install day-to-day as good-condition classic 130 units are harder to source.
What is the difference between the classic Acorn 130 and the T700?
Same fundamental lift, same rail, same fit, same paddle-style arm controls, same fold-flat seat. What is genuinely different: the T700 is in current UK production (so parts are readily available for years to come), and we back it with an 18-month warranty instead of the standard 12. The classic 130 is the older design and slightly cheaper, but reconditioned units in good condition are increasingly hard to find as the fleet ages.
Do you fit the Acorn 180 curved stairlift?
No — we do not fit the Acorn 180 curved. For curved staircases we specialise in the reconditioned Stannah 260 (from £3,200 with a brand-new custom rail). See our curved stairlifts page for the full picture.
Do you sell brand-new Acorn stairlifts?
Brand-new Acorn stairlifts are available on request — ask at your free home survey. We specialise in reconditioned because they offer the best value: same 12-month warranty, same 24/7 breakdown support, thousands of pounds less than a brand-new equivalent.
What is the difference between an Acorn 130 and a Brooks 130?
None of any practical significance. Brooks became part of the same manufacturer group as Acorn following acquisition, and the T700 is now sold under both brands with the same underlying lift.
How long do Acorn stairlifts last?
Well-maintained: 10–15 years of reliable service is normal. The main wearing components (batteries, wheels, drive gear) are all replaceable, which is exactly what our reconditioning process does — giving an ex-fitted unit another full lifecycle.
Will you buy back my old Acorn stairlift?
Yes — £250 for a working Acorn or Brooks 130 T700, £200 for the older classic Acorn 130, collected free from anywhere on Merseyside. Details on our sell your Acorn page.
How quickly can you fit a reconditioned Acorn?
Straight staircases with a stocked reconditioned lift: we aim to fit the next working day. Perfect for hospital discharge and post-op situations. See urgent installation.
