The Current-Generation Acorn · Paid Cash on the Day
Sell Your Acorn 130 T700 Stairlift — £250 Cash, Same-Day Collection
A.C. Stairlifts is a family-run firm in Bootle, Liverpool paying £250 cash for working Acorn 130 T700 stairlifts across Merseyside. The T700 is the current-generation Acorn — we recondition them for new families, which is why we pay fair cash prices instead of scrap value. No haggling, no “from” pricing, no survey fees. Chris quotes a flat figure, we collect, you get the cash in your hand within 15 minutes.
Is Mine a T700?
How To Tell If You Have An Acorn 130 T700
The T700 looks very similar to the earlier classic 130, but there are a few quick ways to tell — starting with the sticker underneath. If yours is actually the older model, we still buy — just at the £200 classic rate.
The T700 model marking is not on the arm — it is on a sticker fixed to the underside of the carriage (the main body of the chair, below the seat). Tip the seat up or crouch down and look under the base. The sticker should clearly say “T700”. If there is no T700 on the sticker you probably have the earlier classic 130 — see our generic Acorn buy-back page instead.
T700 arm has a paddle-style directional control, swivels for easy transfer, fold-flat seat and footrest. If your lift has rocker switches or looks older, it is probably a classic 130.
The T700 replaced the classic 130 in Acorn’s lineup around 2020. Any stairlift fitted in your home from 2020 or later is almost certainly a T700 if it carries Acorn or Brooks branding.
Snap a photo of the chair and the underside sticker, text it to Chris on 0151 314 4884. We confirm the model and quote within 10 minutes. No obligation, no pressure.

What Your Acorn 130 T700 is Actually Worth in 2026
The T700 holds its value because dealers like us need stock. Scrap merchants pay £0–£20. Online marketplaces mean hassle, no-shows, and tyre-kickers. Here is what we pay — cash, on the day, no mucking about.
Honest promise: we do not quote £300 to get your attention then drop the price on collection. The number Chris quotes on the phone is the number you receive. Written if you want it.
How It Works
Three Steps From Call To Cash
Take a photo of the chair including the underside sticker. Call Chris on 0151 314 4884 and send the photo via text. 10-minute call, instant quote.
Usually 3–5 days from the call, often same-day if urgent (bereavement, house move, hospital discharge). We work around your schedule.
Chris or an engineer arrives, confirms the chair matches the photo, hands over the cash, removes the lift and the rail. Done in 15 minutes. You get a signed receipt.

Acorn 130 T700 Buy-Back FAQs
Why do you specifically want the Acorn 130 T700?
The T700 is Acorn’s current-generation straight stairlift. Families contact us wanting reconditioned stairlifts for their own homes, and T700s are the model they want. Supply is tight — we pay a fair cash price (£250) because every T700 we buy becomes a reconditioned install for another local family at £1,300 fitted. The classic 130 still has a market but at lower rates (£200). Older models (120, 80) are collection-only or chargeable.
How do I know if I have a T700 and not a classic 130?
Three quick checks: (1) T700 sticker on the underside of the carriage — tip the seat up or crouch down and look under the main body of the chair, the sticker should clearly say “T700”. The arm doesn’t have any model marking — that’s a common mistake. (2) Modern paddle control on the arm, swivel seat, fold-flat footrest. (3) Fitted from 2020 onwards. If any of those apply, you almost certainly have a T700. Still not sure? Call 0151 314 4884 and send a photo — Chris confirms within 10 minutes.
What if my stairlift is a Brooks T700 instead of an Acorn T700?
Same offer, same price. Acorn acquired Brooks in 2016 and the Brooks 130 T700 is physically identical to the Acorn 130 T700 — same mechanism, same rail, same batteries, same £250 cash offer. See our dedicated Brooks T700 buy-back page if you prefer, but ringing either number gets you the same quote.
What if the stairlift doesn't work any more?
Depends on what has failed. A dead battery is not a problem — we replace batteries anyway, so a complete non-working T700 is still worth £150. If the motor or circuit board has failed and the lift won’t move at all, we still take it for parts: usually £100–£150 depending on condition. If it is physically damaged or missing major parts (chair, remote, charger), we offer £50 plus free removal rather than leave you to pay a scrap merchant.
How quickly can you collect?
Standard turnaround is 3–5 working days from your first call. Same-day or next-day collection is possible in genuine urgency — bereavement, house completion, hospital discharge where you need the stairs clear for a care package. We work around your schedule. Call Chris to discuss.
Do I have to be at home for the collection?
Someone needs to be at the property to let us in and sign a short receipt. It does not need to be the owner — a family member, neighbour, solicitor, or estate agent is fine. We can also meet an executor at a probate property outside normal hours by arrangement.
Do you take the rail as well as the chair?
Yes, always. The rail is just as valuable as the chair — often more so, because custom rails cost us a lot to replace. We remove everything: chair, rail, remote controls, charger, instruction manual if you have it. You get your staircase back exactly as it was before fitting.
Can I sell it myself on Facebook or eBay for more?
Possibly, but weigh the hassle. Online you need to list it, field 20 messages from people who vanish, meet strangers, arrange collection (buyer’s problem but your doorway), and risk no-shows. Our £250 is cash, same day, zero chase. People sometimes get £300 on marketplaces, but it usually takes 2–6 weeks and a lot of ignored calls. Your call.
