How Next-Day Fitting Works
No call centre and no waiting list — a straightforward process built around your discharge date.
- ✓Call 0151 314 4884 — tell us about the staircase and when your relative is due home.
- ✓Straight staircase + stocked lift = next working day. We confirm on the phone whether a reconditioned Acorn 130 or Brooks 130 suits, and book the fitting there and then.
- ✓Survey and installation in one visit — for straight staircases we measure and fit in the same appointment. The fitting itself takes 2–4 hours.
- ✓Safety test and demonstration before we leave — the lift is load-tested and we show the user and their family exactly how it works.
- ✓Honest from the first call. We are a small family firm. If next-day genuinely is not possible, we will say so straight away and give you the earliest date we can promise.
Which Stairlifts Can Be Fitted Next Day?
Speed depends on stock and staircase shape. Here is the honest picture:
- ✓Reconditioned Acorn 130 — £1,100 fitted. Our most-stocked lift and the usual next-day choice for straight staircases. See reconditioned options →
- ✓Reconditioned Brooks 130 — £1,300 fitted. Subject to workshop stock — call to check what is on the bench.
- ✓Brand-new straight — from £1,895. Next-day where the manufacturer has stock; otherwise typically 1–2 weeks. Straight stairlifts →
- ✓Curved stairlifts (Stannah 260 — £3,200 reconditioned). A custom rail is made for your exact staircase, so curved lifts take 2–4 weeks. We will always tell you this upfront. Curved stairlifts →
- ✓Manual hinged rail — included where needed, so the rail never blocks a doorway at the foot of the stairs.
Urgent Stairlift Installation FAQs
Can you fit a stairlift before my relative leaves hospital?
Usually, yes. For straight staircases with a stocked reconditioned lift we aim to fit the next working day. Call as soon as you have a discharge date — even a provisional one — and we will plan around it.
Do you work with specific hospitals?
We are independent and you do not need a referral. We fit stairlifts for families discharging from any hospital across Liverpool, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and the wider North West.
Do you offer same-day installation?
We do not promise same-day, because we would rather commit to what we can genuinely deliver: next-working-day fitting for stocked straight lifts. If we can do better on the day you call, we will tell you on the phone.
Is there an extra charge for urgent fitting?
No. Urgent jobs are charged at exactly the same fixed prices — reconditioned straight stairlifts from £1,100 fully installed, with no rush premium.
What does the price include?
Everything: the survey, delivery, professional fitting by Chris (our owner and engineer), a full safety test, a demonstration for the user and family, a 12-month parts and labour warranty and 24/7 breakdown support.
What if the staircase is curved?
Curved stairlifts need a custom rail made for your exact staircase, so they take 2–4 weeks — a reconditioned Stannah 260 is £3,200 fitted. We will confirm the realistic timescale on your first call, not after you have committed.
How long does the installation itself take?
For a straight staircase, 2–4 hours. The lift is fitted to the stair treads (no structural work), safety tested and demonstrated in the same visit.
Can you remove an old stairlift at the same time?
Yes — and if it is a model we buy back, you will be paid for it: £200 for Acorn and Brooks 130s, £250 for T700 variants. See our removal and buy-back page.
Do urgent installations still get the full warranty?
Yes. Every installation — urgent or not — comes with the same 12-month parts and labour warranty and 24/7 breakdown support.
Will I be charged VAT?
Most customers with a long-term illness or disability qualify for VAT-free supply under HMRC rules. It is a simple declaration we handle as part of the quote — details on our VAT eligibility page.
