One Call, Cash Paid

How Selling Your Acorn Works

Selling takes one phone call:

  • Call 0151 314 4884 with the model and whether the lift runs — a photo helps if you are not sure which Acorn you have.
  • Get the number on the phone. £200 for a working 130, £250 for a T700 — no doorstep renegotiation.
  • We collect and remove professionally. Rails are fixed to the stair treads, not the wall, so removal leaves the staircase clean and tidy.
  • Cash on the day. Paid when we collect — not a bank transfer that follows next week.
  • Your lift gets a second life. Bought lifts go straight to our Bootle workshop for full reconditioning — which is exactly why we can pay rather than charge.

Selling Your Acorn — FAQs

How much will you pay for my Acorn stairlift?

£200 cash for a working Acorn 130 and £250 for the Acorn 130 T700, both including free professional removal. The price we agree on the phone is the price paid on the day.

We remove Acorn 120s free of charge, but we cannot pay for them — the 120 is too old for our reconditioning programme, so it has no resale value to us. Free, tidy, professional removal is the honest offer.

Models older than the 120 are removed for a fixed fee agreed on the phone before we visit. We will always tell you straight which category your lift falls into.

To be bought, yes — the £200/£250 prices are for working lifts. If yours has a fault, describe it when you call: sometimes it is only batteries and the lift still has value; if it genuinely does not, we will be straight about whether it is a free or chargeable removal.

Usually within days — collection slots fit around our installation diary and we will give you an honest date on the phone. If the removal is part of a replacement installation, it happens in the same visit.

No. Stairlift rails fix to the stair treads rather than the wall, so professional removal leaves no structural damage — just small screw points on the treads, usually hidden by carpet. Chris removes every lift personally and leaves the staircase tidy.

Because they are the backbone of our reconditioned range. Every bought lift is stripped, renewed with new batteries and rig-tested in our own workshop through our 4-step process, then re-installed for another family at £1,100 fully fitted. You are not selling to a middleman — you are selling to the workshop itself.

Yes — we buy working Brooks 130s and T700s at the same prices, and working Stannah 260 curved carriages (price agreed on the phone). Full details on our removal and buy-back page.
